Most Meaningful Endorsement – Jayne – 1st Grader
Shannon’s Words: “I have learned it is a VERY common practice for endorsements to be written by the candidate themselves or someone on their team. The person endorsing them, just attaches their name to it. Much like professional recommendations.
Because this feels disingenuous to me, all of my endorsements are 100% sincere and written completely by the person doing the endorsing. Because of this, each one I have appreciated with my whole heart.
But this one, y’all! This one choked me up more than all the others. Hands down, this one I hold higher than the rest! Kids are some of the most honest beings on the planet. Kids are my why. My promise to Jayne and all her classmates is that they will always remain my focus.
Jayne’s mom sent me this text after I delivered a sign to their family… “So Jayne was asking me about what we talked about and what you are running for. I told her and then asked her why people should vote for you. I sent you an email with her response.”
The email I received was titled “A surprise endorsement””
“I think people should vote for Shannon because she is nice and she cares about kids!”
